Blueprint Membership
Program Components: What's included
The Following iteams are covered by your Medical Insurance:
Medical office visits: Our medical team will see you monthly while on the program. Our goal is to ensure your safety and well-being while under our care. The physicians and nurse practitioners direct your care and prescribe your treatment plan.
Prescription medication: Discover Health uses evidence-based medication interventions for obesity. Medications include Semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelsus), Tirzepetide (Mounjaro, Zepbound), Qsymia, Contrave, phentermine, and other options where appropriate. Selection of medication is tailored to the individual, and takes into account medical indication, contraindications, prior use history, insurance coverage, and cost.
Metabolic rate testing: We use Korr REEVUE device to measure Resting Energy Expenditure. This device assesses metabolic rate which is used to provide calorie and macronutrient goals.
The Following items are covered by your Membership Fee:
Body composition testing: The SECA body composition analysis device is a research-grade bioelectric impedance analysis device that allows us to establish a baseline body composition and monitor changes over time. We want to ensure weight lost is fat mass and not lean body mass.
Custom nutrition plans: Partnering with Macrostax, Discover Health members will have access to the Macrostax nutritional tracking app at no cost. There are millions of food items in the database, and thousands of recipes and suggested meal plans, taking the guesswork out of the question "what should I eat?" Discover Health staff will have access to your food log and can use this information to direct your meal planning.
Group coaching: What we believe is the “secret sauce” of the Discover Health Blueprint, is access to online virtual group coaching sessions. These educational and motivational sessions are 30 minutes in length and occur throughout the week, allowing for schedule flexibility, and feature a master coach, with decades of experience in working with people working on weight management.
Learning Management System: Access to a secure library of educational content, including lectures and presentations from Dr. McConnell. Topics include the causes of obesity, nutrition planning, mindset, behavior interventions, physical activity, treatment options.
Workshops with Discover Health Team: Ever wish you could meet with an obesity expert and learn what we know? Workshops featuring our professional staff are dedicated sessions for limited attendance to take a deep dive on specific topics.
